72 month used car loan
2008 Mazda6i a good buy for $18K?

Ok, I’m seriously considering getting into a 6i tomorrow for about 18 grand brand new after rebates. I love the cars, but for $800 down and $340 a month is it a good deal? Not sure yet if it is a 72 month term, most likely at that payment. The dealer also wants to get me into a Volkswagen Jetta not sure if new or used. My focus is on the mazda, anybody have any thoughts? I figure after 2 years, I’ll have paid close to $9200 towards the loan on the mazda, does this sound good? Would you go for it or shop around more, I think this dealer is the only one that can get me qualified due to my excessive inquiries and I believe it to be a prime rate.

Sounds a little high, but it depends on the options. Is it a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder? Post a link to the car and I will tell you what you should pay for it.

Forget the Jetta. The Mazda is the better car.
Try to go to a credit union for financing. Unless you have inquired 20 times or more, it isn’t going to impact your credit score if you check it once vs. 10 times.
