What can I do about getting student loans with bad credit and no co-signer?
Ok, I've been on this quest for almost a year now and has still not succeeded in finding a student loan that will cover my living expenses. I am a full time student working two jobs that I know will ultimately cause my grades to suffer, and it still does not pay all the bills. I have Stafford loans and it does not cover everything. I have already spoken with some financial support and they are not able to help me beyond emergency loan, which I have already used up. I had a co-signer, but she has decided not to do it more in the middle the school year, and it was my last resort and another co-signer is not an option. I am not able to get it on my own, and constantly being beaten down by banks. I'm doing everything I know to do, any suggestions? Please help!
My daughter is in grad school and I paif cash for her first semester as was hard. We had to get a loan for next semester. But she did some network around the school, had a little research online, and landed a research position, which begins in January, giving her a full ride for tuition and $ 800 a month stipend in exchange for 20 hours a week at work. She got this one on a transport institute affiliated college because of her undergrad degree in economics (it involves a lot of statistical work) and her passion for transport and infrastructure. She was also offered a full ride at another school (too late to take it this semester), where she previously had used when her undergrad thesis finally came to the right people and they want her to continue her research there in Las Vegas. And have you asked the school for an undergraduate student teaching position?
