If I take somebody who did not pay back a loan to small claims court,How do I prove the transaction happend.?

If I take somebody who did not pay back a loan to small claims court, and they deny every getting the money, Or say it was less then what it was, how do I prove that I did. I have e-mails talking about him paying/oweing me money. However, an exact amount is not one the E-mails. I want to know different ways to prove it. Is it possible to do it without a witness? Or is my only way to get it done is if I have one(witness). Also, do I have to prove he lent me the money before the actual hearing takes place, or do we do it there? Are the courts pretty understanding of people goingto court for these things? A detailed anwer is much appreciated. This has been a BIG problem. Thanks.

Good luck with that one. You have got to prove that the pewrson owes you money like you said they do. If you have e-mails staing that htye owe you money, that is a start. They cannot tell the judge that they don’t owe you money. They can dispute how much it was and whether or not they wrote those e-mails or someone lese did. If you have not threatened this person with legal action yet, I would suggest that you get some kind of written and signed agreement between you and the other person. Otherwise, you can hope that the person has a change of heart and decides to pay you back when they feel like it.
