Used Car Loan
If I let my car go back 2 the credit union during a Chapter7,will I B able to get a used car loan?
Altho I have many bills behind and unpaid, my car loan for the past 4yrs has never been missed, just late a few days. Will need transportation as I am handicapped, will I be able to get a car loan tho the whole process is still in the works? I could not be without a car for 4-6 months or even 4-6 weeks.
Auto finance is what I do for a living and the truth is yes you will be able to get a loan for a car even while your bankruptcy is in process.
Find a large dealer that advertises Special Finance and go talk to the Manager they should be able to help you, there are lenders out there that will give you a loan but be fore warned you will have to have a large down payment.
If your present vehicle is still in decent condition you would be better off reaffirming on the loan with your credit union and asking that they continue to report your payments this would go a long way in helping you to reestablish your credit after your BK discharges.
